Pay Rate: $26.00 per hour
Assignment Length: Seasonal (2-3 Months)
Position Summary
We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Machine Operator to join a busy manufacturing team in Gilroy, CA for a seasonal 2-3 month assignment . In this role, you will operate the Powder Toaster production line, processing onion and garlic powder to meet customer specifications for quality, color, moisture levels, and more.
Essential Responsibilities
- Operate the Powder Toaster production line safely and efficiently.
- Process onion and garlic powder according to production specifications.
- Use a handheld scanner to track materials and production activities.
- Obtain and maintain lift truck (forklift) certification.
- Adjust machine feeds to optimize throughput, product color, and moisture levels.
- Complete HACCP and production documentation accurately.
- Communicate effectively using a two-way radio.
- Perform workplace safety inspections and audits.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures.
- Assist with additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must successfully pass a skills assessment.
- Ability to read, understand, and complete required paperwork.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately.
- Good attendance, safety, and work performance record.
- Previous forklift experience is preferred but not required.
Schedule Requirements
- Must be available to work all shifts as needed.
- Must be willing to work overtime when required.
