Key Responsibilities of the Clinical Nurse - Operating Room

• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process
• Identify and meet learning needs of self and assist with patient education
• Evaluate patient care and communicate relevant information for continuity
• Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems
• Prioritize patient care and consult resources for complex care issues
• Participate in development and achievement of unit goals
• Assess and anticipate discharge needs of patients and families
• Collaborate with patient/family to prepare or update the plan of care

Requirements of the Clinical Nurse - Operating Room

• One (1) year of nursing experience
• Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC)
