Shipping and Receiving Associate

Adecco is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate in Rochester, NY. This is a great opportunity to join a small, team-oriented manufacturing environment where your contributions directly impact daily operations and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics operations and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Unload, sort, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Create and maintain shipping documentation and inventory records.
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery.
• Perform inventory counts and assist with inventory control activities.
• Ensure products are packaged properly to prevent damage during transit.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
• Work closely with production and warehouse teams to support operational goals.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience.
• Forklift experience preferred; certification is a plus.
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and perform material handling duties.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
