Key Responsibilities for the Accounting Assistant:
- Process high-volume accounts receivable transactions and post customer payments.
- Handle daily deposits, match checks to invoices, and process pricing corrections.
- Support collections efforts by responding to customer inquiries and participating in a shared phone queue.
- Process accounting batches that generate journal entries and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Manage a designated portfolio of accounts while collaborating with teammates to meet department goals.
Qualifications for the Accounting Assistant:
- Associate degree in Accounting
- Candidates without a degree who have relevant accounting, accounts receivable, or administrative experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage repetitive, high-volume work accurately.
- Customer service and communication skills to effectively interact with customers regarding account questions and collections.
