You must be highly organized and extremely attentive to details—especially with proofreading your own and other's written documents.What You'll DoManage attorney calendarsRecording attorney time and maintaining attorney emailsCreate/maintain electronic file directoriesPrepare memoranda for opening new mattersAssist in the formatting/drafting of legal documentsSet up meetings by conference call, Zoom, Microsoft Teams or other platformsProofread correspondence and legal documentsTranscribe dictationsPrepare and send out transmittal lettersPerform general office duties as requiredWhat We're Looking ForAt least 3 years of experience as a legal assistantExperience with e-FilingAccurate typing speed of 60+ wpm requiredStrong attention to detail and excellent organizational skillsReliable attendanceExperience with editing, proofreading, revising, and drafting documentsHigh proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to use discretion and handle confidential informationAbility to meet deadlines and produce high quality work productHave a proactive mindsetCompensationSalary range: $23-28/hour depending on experience. This is a good-faith estimate for the position based on location and minimum criteria. Actual compensation may vary based on experience and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
