Payroll AdministratorPOSITION TYPE: HYBRIDSALARY RANGE: $75,000.00-$109,750.00POSITION SUMMARYThe Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for up to 300 employees and the administration of the Concur platform for personal reimbursements and credit card reporting. This position provides senior level accounting responsibilities including reconciliation of all payroll-related accounts and monthly payroll-related entries. The Payroll Administrator works closely with the HR team and Grants Manager and reports to the Accounting Manager.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Payroll functions:Responsible for UltiPro maintenance and administration.Responsible for Concur maintenance andAnalyzes, processes, and maintains payroll data, files, and reports in compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements.Ensure applicable state and local payroll tax deductions are set up based on site location and employee residence.Verifies timely receipt of all payroll records, reviews and prepares timesheet import files for processing.Provides Grant Manager LDR for review prior to timesheetReviews weekly transmission of HR file, checking for accuracy andProvides the Accounting Manager or Controller pre-process payroll register for review, along with supportingProcesses and submits bi-weekly payroll upon review and approval by the Accounting Manager or Controller.Prepares, processes, and maintains garnishments and other court ordered deductions, responding to agencies as needed and sending proper notifications to all necessaryResearch discrepancies of payroll information and/or documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures prior to processing.Processes bi-weekly expense and mileage reimbursements inProvides and maintains orientation materials for new employees on CCIProvides assistance to employees for payrollReports census information to the Department ofProcess and finalizes year-endReconciles W2 information for accuracy and distributesMaintains parking and transit forms and ensures compliance with transit benefitMaintains and updates payroll tax limits in accordance to IRSResponsible for SmartBenefit platform maintenance andAssists in any payroll reporting for HR, Grants, and FinanceAccounting functions:Responsible for bi-weekly payroll entries andResponsible for allocation of monthly payroll taxes, fringe benefits, monthlyResponsible for monthly reconciliation of all payroll-relatedResponsible for updating monthly accrued vacationResponsible for quarterly reconciliation of 941 and annual 940.Assists auditors, providing supporting documentation and/or information on internal process required for annual financial statements, 403(b) audits, and Form 990.Supervisory Responsibilities:This position has no supervisoryEducation and/or Experience:Associate's degree in accounting, Finance, orTwo to five years of experience/training in processing automatedOr equivalent combination of education andCertified Payroll Professional is a plusRequired Knowledge.
