Payroll Associate

We are looking for a Payroll Associate to support payroll operations for a workforce of approximately 140 employees in Washington, District of Columbia. This is a Contract position focused on delivering accurate, timely payroll processing across multiple pay cycles for both commercial and government-funded projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, practical experience with ADP Workforce Now, and the ability to manage payroll-related transactions in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:• Process weekly and biweekly payroll for employees across different business segments while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.• Maintain payroll records and complete employee-related updates, including changes that affect pay, deductions, and employment status.• Administer wage garnishments and other payroll adjustments in compliance with applicable requirements and deadlines.• Handle payroll activities associated with union employees, including contract-specific pay considerations and reporting needs.• Prepare certified payroll documentation for public works assignments and verify that submissions meet project and regulatory standards.• Review payroll data for discrepancies, investigate issues, and resolve processing concerns before finalizing each pay cycle.• Use ADP Workforce Now to manage payroll workflows, employee transactions, and supporting documentation.• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support payroll continuity and assist with related administrative tasks as needed.
