The candidate will also interact with development Project Manager, the development, testing, and production support teams, as well as other departments within Citigroup (such as the System Administrators, Database Administrators, Data Centre Operations, and Change Control groups) for Payment platforms.He/she requires exceptional communication skills across both technology and the business and will have a high degree of visibility. The candidate will be a rigorous technical manager with a strong understanding of how to build scalable, enterprise level global applicationsThe ideal candidate will be dependable and resourceful software professional who can comfortably work in a large development team in a globally distributed, dynamic work environment that fosters diversity, teamwork and collaboration. The ability to work in high-pressured environment is essential.Responsibilities:Lead technical leadership of large scale/complex global software solutions on payments platformLead integration of functions to meet goals, deploy new products, and enhance processesAnalyse complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards to define and develop solutions to high level problemsProvide expertise in area of advanced knowledge of applications programming and plan assignments involving large budgets, cross functional project, or multiple projectsUtilize advanced knowledge of supported main system flows and comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas to achieve technology goalsAllocate work, and act as an advisor/coach developers, analysts, and new team membersInfluence and negotiate with senior leaders and communicate with external partiesAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Technical / Functional Proficiency:Responsible for providing technical leadership of multiple large scale/complex software solutions, even by extending the existing platform through custom development, customization and integration with in-house solutions and vendor solutions leading to a complete platform that caters to key business requirements.Strong experience in working with various Payments schemes, preferably Faster Payments scheme of any country, and Payments messaging formats such as ISO 8583, ISO 20022, and SWIFT etc.Experience in building enterprise transaction-based system with focus on recovery, stability, reliability, scalability and performance.Responsible for providing technical leadership of multiple large scale/complex global software solutions for payment processor platformConversant with various technologies, experience in transforming legacy systems to new age technologies befitting the needs of business function.Strong understanding of object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, high availability and concurrent programmingInterpret business strategy and determine innovative technology solutions with the ability to manage and evaluate data and innovation pipelineDesign, research, develop, analyse and recommend new solutions to enable strategic decision making and go to market processStrong knowledge to design payment flows & provides solution.Work closely with Program Management and Quality Control teams to deliver quality software to agreed project schedules.Compliance with Citi's System Development Lifecycle and Information Security requirementsDemonstrated excellent software development acumen. Strong experiences in implementation of the following technologies: Java, J2EE, Spring framework, Hibernate, JPA, App Server, JMS / MQ applicationsExperience in building multithreaded applications and troubleshooting complex issues related to it.Experience in working multiple OS (Unix, Linux, Win), ContainersExperience in performance tuning of large technical solutions with significant volumesLeadership Skills:Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-taskDemonstrated sense of responsibility and capability to deliver quicklyRequires Strong Stakeholder Management experience on discussion between Business, Solutions, Operations and Application Teams.Excellent communication skills.
