Responsibilities

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced full-time neonatal nurse practitioner to play a leadership role in a brand new, 10 bed LDRP Level-I Nursery at CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont, which is scheduled to open late 2024.

About the Practice

• This Level 1 unit will have an anticipated 600 deliveries a year.
• An average daily census of about 5 newborns.
• NNPs will be responsible for daily rounds on newborns, attending deliveries when requested, and will take call from home.
• Practitioners would also stabilize, manage, and facilitate transport of newborns to adjacent NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia for newborns needing higher level care.
• The Belmont team will consist of 4 NNPs, with the sister LEVEL III NICU staffed by 2 neonatologists and 5-6 NNPs who provide care at CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Gastonia, which is only 7 miles away.
• Opportunities to do supplemental PRN shifts at the Level III NICU in Gastonia may be possible, but would not be required, as this position is for the Level 1 nursery.

• Minimum of a master's degree.
