Early Childhood Teacher

Bright Horizons offers an opportunity for a Bright Horizons Teacher to grow a teaching career and impact children’s lives. This role is available full‑time or part‑time with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Responsibilities Create hands‑on activities that meet the needs and interests of children. Maintain open communication with parents, sharing each child’s daily milestones. Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines. Qualifications At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED. Preferred: CDA, associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or a related field. Required: 12 child‑development units, including courses in child development, family & community, introduction to curriculum, and principles & practices. Infant or toddler positions require an infant and toddler development class. Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children. Transcripts required at time of hire. AA/BA in Early Childhood Education preferred. Physical Requirements Frequently lift, carry, or hold children weighing 10–40 pounds; occasionally more than 40 pounds. Full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit and otherwise participate fully in activities. Respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies. Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy for essential job requirements.
