JOB TITLE: AbilityOne Recruiter/Case Manager

Bargaining Unit Status:  Non-Bargaining Unit

FULL-TIME ☒ (hours per week: 40)  

BUSINESS HOURS AND WORK SCHEDULE: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in human resources, business administration, rehabilitation, organizational psychology, social work, or a related discipline (a combination of equivalent education and work experience may be considered).

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in customer-service-related fields.
• Nonprofit organizational knowledge.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and general computer operation is required.
• Working knowledge of basic case management principles.
• Possess interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and proficient communication.
• Understanding of key marketing concepts.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be authorized for coverage under agency insurance if operating an agency vehicle, have a good driving record, a valid driver’s license, and/or the required level of personal auto insurance.
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete a background check, per company requirements.
• Ability to communicate with tact and maintain confidentiality.
• Adequate ability in writing/reading/mathematics.
• Ability to effectively build and maintain positive working relationships with management, customers, and peers.
• Strong organizational, project planning, and management experience with proven analytical and multitasking skills.
• Superior listening, verbal, and written communication skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY:
Match qualified candidates with job openings by working with community agencies. Possess knowledge of the types of employment within Phoenix and work with Human Resources and Employee Support Services departments.  Effectively build relationships to establish a candidate pool and market Phoenix jobs to potential employees.   

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a Human Resources Coordinator as needed.  This would include, but is not limited to, assisting with onboarding documents and handling basic employment-related inquiries from employees.  Host job fairs and participate in community-sponsored job fairs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Have a working knowledge of basic Human Resources principles, specifically marketing and recruiting.
• Complete training as defined by the Phoenix Professional Development Plan.
• Represent Phoenix in the business community by involvement in civic and professional organizations.
• Provide information as requested for various statistical requirements.
• Assist with job posting and advertisement processes
• Screen applicants and select qualified candidates
• Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Adequate ability for conversation, telephone use, and emergency information systems.
• Ability to be independently mobile on all surfaces and in all situations.
• Ability to move safely around the work area.
• Physical stamina to work at least 8 hours per day.
