They are responsible for hiring of qualified hospice personnel: the provision of hospice services, directly, and the delegation to and coordination of hospice personnel evaluations; and establishing standards of care to comply with federal and state regulations and guidelines. The duties include but are not limited to:Implement policies, procedures, and best practices for operations.Monitoring nursing staff performance and addressing any QA issuesClinical policy and procedure supportAssisting the Director in identifying & resolving nursing department deficienciesMonitoring implementation of correction plansScheduling and weekend trackerTraining of new nurses with ongoing mentorship and training of our weekend teamSending follow ups to case managers for medication refills and Supply needsSending emails regarding open visits and getting nurses to close all visits.Reviewing triage report from previous night.Helping find Admission coverageChanges in patient conditions, coordinating with care team for patients and families.Send out emails for open visits to overnight nurses.Attend clinical leader meetings and admissions meetingCoverage for overnight: back up for questions or navigating changes in the overnight space.VA reportsComplaint reports –moving to QAPI+Performance discussionsHelp with Initial and Annual competenciesQualificationsStrong, results-driven leader with excellent organizational, strategic, analytical, and project management skills.Exceptional communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate, mentor, and influence others.5+ years of healthcare experience preferred, with hospice experience strongly preferred.2+ years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting.Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the state(s) of practice.
