Our brand names are recognized globally including: BSC Filters, York, UK; Criteria Labs, Austin, TX; Dow-Key Microwave, Ventura, CA; Pole/Zero, West Chester, OH; Espy, Austin, TX; and K&L Microwave, Salisbury, Maryland and Dominican Republic.Our expertise is the design and manufacture of communications-based specialty products – engineered components and subsystems – for demanding military, space, commercial aerospace/industrial, and telecom infrastructure applications where function and reliability are crucial.Position Overview:The Accounting Manager will be responsible for all accounting functions, including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and General Ledger accounting. The Accounting Manager will manage the accounting team to ensure accuracy in accounting operations, adherence to accounting processes and maintaining a strong internal control environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Supervise and work directly with Accounts Payable specialist to ensure that accounting responsibilities are being met timely and accuratelySupervise month end closing processMonthly Forecasting and annual budgeting and related analysisMonitor collection of sales/use tax and associated filingsApprove weekly pay runs and cash control reconciliationsCollaborate with Key Stakeholders to develop and manage KPIsEnsures compliance with all accounting policies and processesEnsures compliance with all government contracting requirementsQualifications Summary:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (Master's degree or CPA certification preferred).Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior accounting or finance role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.Must be a US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident/Green Card Holder)Experience:Must be a US PersonBroad general knowledge of all accounting/financial functionsBachelor's degree in accounting or related field requiredMinimum of 5 years of previous accounting/financial experienceSupervisory Experience requiredKnowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP) and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) regulationsExperience with Government Contracts preferredExperience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable preferredPhysical Demands:Described here are characteristics representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
