Pay: $20 per hour

As a Banquet Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dining experiences for guests attending various events, including weddings, corporate functions, and special occasions. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality service, ensuring guests' satisfaction and contributing to the overall success of the banquet operations.

Essential responsibilities include setting up and preparation, assisting in the setup and arrangement of banquet rooms according to the event specifications, ensuring all tables, chairs, linens, and tableware are properly organized and presentable, checking and confirming the accuracy of the event details, including seating arrangements and special requests.

Food and beverage service includes greeting guests upon arrival and guiding them to their designated tables, serving meals and beverages according to established service standards, ensuring proper timing and coordination between the kitchen and banquet floor to ensure the smooth delivery of food, responding promptly to guests' requests and anticipating their needs throughout the event, providing recommendations on menu items and assisting guests in making informed choices, monitoring and maintaining cleanliness and presentation of dining areas and ensuring tables are cleared efficiently.

Team collaboration includes collaborating with fellow servers, bartenders, and other staff members to provide seamless service, communicating effectively with the kitchen and support staff to ensure the availability of supplies and timely delivery of food and beverages, assisting colleagues when needed, such as carrying trays, refilling drinks, or clearing tables during peak periods.

Guest satisfaction includes ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere for guests, creating a positive dining experience, handling guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally, addressing any issues or concerns raised by guests, aiming to resolve them to their satisfaction, maintaining a professional and polished appearance at all times, adhering to the company's grooming standards.

Safety and compliance includes adhering to all safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, following responsible alcohol service guidelines and procedures, handling cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.

Requirements include previous experience as a banquet server or in a similar role is preferred, high school graduate / min 18 years of age, strong customer service skills with the ability to provide exceptional guest experiences, excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members, ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail, knowledge of food and beverage service procedures and etiquette, flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the banquet schedule, physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy trays or equipment.

Strength demands include regular lifting, moving and carrying of food items, furniture, garbage etc. weighing up to 30 pounds across the restaurant, regular and prolonged standing and walking inside and outside the restaurant during a 6-8 hour shift with appropriate breaks, regular ascending/descending stairs, repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, frequent use of hand to finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms.
