Clinic Hours: MonFri 8am6pm | Sat 8am1pm
- Schedule: 4 days/week + rotating Saturdays
Northwind Animal Hospital is a fast-paced, 7-doctor practice in Parkville, MD, and we're growing! We're looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our collaborative and compassionate team. You'll work alongside skilled DVMs, and Veterinary Assistants to deliver outstanding care to our patients.
About Our Practice:
- Team-Oriented
- Surgical Services: Soft tissue, some orthopedic; advanced ortho done by mobile surgeon
- In-House Specialties: Liver biopsies, advanced diagnostics, and more
- Ultrasound: Diagnostic ultrasound available
What We're Looking For:
- Skilled in venipuncture & IV catheter placement
- Confident with dental prophylaxis , charting, and dental radiographs
- Experienced in anesthesia monitoring & induction
- Comfortable educating clients and explaining vaccination protocols
- Proficient with Avimark software & Idexx lab equipment

Your Impact as a Registered Veterinary Technician
- Utilize Your Full Skillset: You'll be a vital part of the medical team, providing comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work.

What You'll Bring to the Team
- Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
- A current state veterinary technician license (RVT) in good standing.
- Proficiency in a range of technical skills, including nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
- A calm and efficient approach, especially in fast-paced or stressful situations.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively.
- One year of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred.
