NDT Specialist

The Entwistle Company is hiring a seasoned Level II NDT professional who’s eager to build a long-term career in a collaborative, innovative manufacturing environment. Your work will directly enable mission-critical components for U.S. and allied defense programs—real impact, every day. A day in the life Independently plan and execute inspections, selecting the most suitable method based on part geometry, complexity, and specification requirements. Identify nonconformances, notify manufacturing/assembly teams, and drive corrective and preventive actions through to verified effectiveness. Document results thoroughly and produce inspection reports per established procedures. Perform final inspections and functional tests on finished assemblies; lead first article inspections. Conduct first-piece inspections on complex parts; validate vendor-delivered items for specification and certification compliance. Operate a broad range of precision tools and equipment, including micrometers, height stands, surface plates, gauges (thread, plug, plating thickness), hardness testers, optical comparators, and gauge blocks. Support and expand capability to perform NDT in accordance with T9074-AS-G1B-010/271; perform magnetic particle examinations per ASTM E1444 and NAVSEA -271. Develop technique sheets and perform magnetic particle inspections per ASTM E1444. Develop technique sheets and execute liquid penetrant inspections to applicable specifications. Assist with vendor audits and, after training, independently qualify/accept vendors at their sites. Keep the work area organized and safe; comply with all health and safety requirements.
