Prep Cooks are responsible for preparing ingredients, setting up workstations, properly storing and maintaining kitchen supplies and inventory, and performing other related duties to support food and beverage operations. Responsibilities Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.) Follow recipes to prepare food using various utensils and methods Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen Ensure all food and other items are stored properly Check quality of ingredients Monitor stock and stock product when there are shortages Ensuring the cleanliness of the restaurant’s spaces, including kitchen, prep areas, dining areas, and restrooms as needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications Willing to assist fellow team members as needed Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, coworkers and supervisors Must have reliable transportation Must have positive attitude while performing tasks Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and stand for long periods of time Strong attention and care to details Responsibility, reliability and honesty Teamwork and collaboration Benefits WEEKLY PAY!
