As a Procurement Manager, you will lead indirect procurement across the AMAPAC region, driving category management strategies, strengthening supplier partnerships, and negotiating impactful agreements that support business performance. What you’ll do on a typical day: Serve as a category manager within the regional procurement team, specifically covering strategic activities in support of the indirect materials and services categories Develop and own procurement strategies in assigned categories Conduct opportunity analysis, market research, and supplier evaluation Construct commercial models and market baskets, develop and deploy RF(x) initiatives, conduct savings and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis Negotiate contract terms with suppliers while ensuring alignment with company quality and performance standards Manage and align internal stakeholder interests, implement strategic solutions, and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure compliance Manage strategic supplier relationships, manage issue resolution, conduct periodic business reviews, and champion continuous improvement initiatives What you need to succeed at GXO: At a minimum, you’ll need Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or a related field, or equivalent related work or military experience 5 years of combined experience in strategic procurement and logistics/operations Solid experience with all modes of transportation and logistics Understanding of and experience with various rate structures. Solid experience with and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Access) It’d be great if you also have: 3-5 years experience in procurement or supply chain roles with 1-3 years in a strategic capacity (category analyst, strategic sourcing specialist, or similar) OR 3-5 years experience in a sales or business development role with 1-3 years in account management at national or enterprise level Industry certification (APICS, ISM, etc) Availability to travel 5-10% of the time Experience in developing multi-year strategies, conducting or participating in RF(x) activities, and negotiating contracts with multi-site, regional, or enterprise scope Self-motivated work style; experience working well with minimal direct supervision or in a team environment; comfortable consulting with team members and management as needed Proficient in basic analysis (Excel PivotTables, PowerBI, etc) Solid interpersonal, organizational, multitasking, and analytical skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience working independently under tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
