Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Schedule: 7 PM - 7 AM

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36

Requirements:
- Current RN license in Maine or compact
- BSN preferred
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Immunizations: varicella (2 doses or titer), HepB (3 doses or titer or declination), MMR (2 doses or titer), Tdap, PPD (2 step or titer within the past 12 months)
- Flu shot required during flu season

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform age-appropriate nursing assessments and reassessments.
- Develop and implement plans of care based on patient needs.
- Execute nursing actions to achieve patient care goals and communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
- Document patient care activities according to standards and policies.
- Administer medications correctly and monitor patient responses.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding discharge plans and follow-up care.

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation required on day 1 for onboarding.
