Patient Engagement Liaison - Clinical

PTC Therapeutics seeks a Patient Engagement Liaison to serve as a field-based connector between the company and rare disease communities. The role involves building relationships with patient advocacy organizations, supporting access to therapies, and developing educational programs for patients and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Engage with rare disease communities and patient advocacy organizations to understand patient needs and incorporate insights
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify, educate, and build relationships with patients, caregivers, and advocacy groups
• Develop, plan, and execute educational programs for rare disease patients and their caregivers
• Connect families to advocacy organizations and resources; assist with access barriers to coverage
• Work cross-functionally with medical, communications, commercial, legal, and compliance colleagues to ensure regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, social work, or related clinical/scientific discipline
• 5+ years experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, advocacy, medical, or related field
• Experience supporting people with rare diseases, caregivers, and advocacy organizations
• Strong verbal and written communication with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Zoom; ability to enter CRM data accurately
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to work independently in matrixed environment

Compensation: $122,000–$143,500 base
