Return Agent - Rental Car Return Specialist (DTW)

Overview Enterprise Mobility operates the Enterprise Rent‑A‑Car, National Car Rental, and Alamo car rental brands. This role is a Return Agent at the National/Alamo brand. The Return Agent provides superior, friendly, efficient service during all aspects of the rental car return process. Location: Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) – 338 Lucas Dr., Detroit, MI 48242. Pay: Starts at $17 per hour plus monthly bonus incentives. Schedule: Full‑time position. Requires open availability, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Remind customers to check for personal belongings. Identify any items found in the vehicle with a unit number, date, time, and forward them to lost and found. Advise and review rental charges; provide an accurate receipt to the customer. Provide information in a professional and courteous manner regarding transportation to the airport terminal. Thank customers using the prescribed dialogue. Inquire about service, satisfaction and document any dissatisfaction. Check vehicles for damage on arrival and direct customers to the counter for damage/loss reports. Determine if the vehicle is being returned with a full tank of gas. Complete a service alert for any mechanical or body damage communicated by the customer. Identify and manage vehicles on system hold for turnback, time or mileage, recall, or other lock; verify their movement to the proper lot location. Tag vehicles flagged for grounding or preventative maintenance; verify movement to the correct lot. Keep lot organized for ease of access and traffic flow. Seek to improve job performance through self‑assessment, skill development, training and goal setting. Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality. Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned. Qualifications At least 18 years old. Authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship. High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. Minimum of 6 months customer service experience. Valid driver's license with no more than two moving violations within the last three years. No drug or alcohol related convictions on driving record in the last five years. Ability to work outdoors (parking lot and garage) in various weather conditions with long periods of standing.
