  JOB TITLE: Shared Services Area Supervisor 

REPORTS TO: Shared Services Area Manager 

FLSA: Exempt

JOB SUMMARY: The Shared Services Area Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating activities that support manufacturing operations, including material movement, inventory control, warehousing, shipping, receiving, recycling programs, and related production support functions. This position ensures the timely and accurate flow of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods throughout the facility to support production schedules and customer delivery requirements. 

The Shared Services Area Supervisor provides daily leadership to shared services personnel while driving performance in the areas of safety, quality, inventory accuracy, productivity, customer service, employee development, and continuous improvement. This role works closely with Production, Planning, Quality, and Customer Service to ensure materials are available when needed and products are delivered on time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

1. Supervise daily material handling, warehousing, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and recycling operations. 
2. Ensure the accurate and timely movement of raw materials, components, work-in-process, and finished goods throughout the facility.
3. Coordinate departmental activities to support production schedules and customer delivery requirements. 
4. Monitor inventory transactions and accuracy; investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
5. Maintain warehouse organization and ensure proper storage, identification, and handling of materials. 
6. Ensures operators are adequately trained for the tasks that they are performing. Including fork truck certification testing. Ensures work instructions to complete tasks are followed. Ensures all relevant data is being recorded. 
7. Collaborate with Production, Planning, and Customer Service to proactively address material shortages, schedule changes, and delivery concerns. 
8. Oversee shipping and receiving processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and on-time customer deliveries. 
9. Work with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to resolve packaging, transportation, receiving, and delivery issues.
10. Conduct employee training, coaching, performance discussions, and evaluations as required.
11. Ensure all required documentation, transactions, and records are completed accurately and timely in IQMS and other applicable systems.
12. Complies with Corporate policies. Safety, Environmental, Quality, Human Resources and those listed in policy section of documentation.
13. Other duties as assigned. 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:  

1. Education/Experience . High school education coursework or GED required. Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or operations management
2. Computer Skills . Ability to read and understand Real Time, Inventory and Sales Order screens in IQMS. Ability to perform basic keyboarding.
3. Language Skills . Ability to read, comprehend, and utilize instructions and short correspondence with coworkers and supervisors. Ability to effectively present information to other employees, in one-on-one and small group situations. Ability to effectively interface with external contacts, particularly customers.
4. Mathematical Skills . Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read and understand specification drawings for inspection purposes.
5. Reasoning Ability . Ability to interpret standards or guidelines and apply to actual variables required. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. 
6. Other Skills and Abilities . Willingness to attend conferences, classes or training to enhance and update knowledge and skills. Ability to work with various personnel in departments to reach consensus on work related issues. On occasion may be requested to travel for company business. Maybe requested to work overtime as dictated by business need. Must be able to maintain a professional relationship with fellow workers and the general public.
7. Supervisory Responsibilities . Carry out supervisory duties by guiding daily workflow, providing coaching, and ensuring quality. Provide leadership in results-oriented problem solving. Conducts or provides input for employee reviews as required.
8. Physical Demands . While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is frequently required to sit/stand and use hand to manipulate very small parts or tweezers. Sense of touch may be used to detect texture, burs and edges. Frequent movement throughout the facility is required. Normal or corrected to normal vision is required with good color vision, close vision, and ability to use microscope and adjust focus. May be required to move or transport up to 55 lbs.
9. Work Environment . The duties of this job are executed in a climate-controlled environment with few temperature or humidity extremes. Noise levels will vary from very low to moderate depending on the location where the work is performed within the facility. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Use of safety glasses is required in specific areas.
