We strive to create a collaborative and engaging culture focused on bold authenticity, intense curiosity and innovation, fierce donor advocacy, and growth.Our Proesis Bio Houston team is looking to add a qualified, caring, and precise Donor Advocate (Phlebotomist) to our team. This role will be working on a team of other donor advocates to perform venipuncture and additional phlebotomy procedures to carry out the plasma donation process. All Donor Advocates in the center are expected to provide excellent customer service to donors and easily collaborate with other team members. This position works cohesively with every team member to ensure a safe and meaningful donation process. We believe in helping our employees grow here at Proesis and strive to help team members grow their careers as we grow as a company.Job Requirements:Role and Responsibilities:Provide world-class customer care while adhering to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Perform venipuncture and additional phlebotomy procedures in accordance with SOPs.Collaborate with Leadership and colleagues to maintain efficient donor flow through the donation process from Screening through Disconnect.Collaborate with Medical on all Donor Adverse Events to ensure adherence to all applicable SOPs.Demonstrate our Core Values when interfacing with colleagues, donors, vendors, and all visitors to the center.Ability to maintain professionalism in a highly dynamic environment.Maintain accurate, complete, and concurrent documentation.Work well with others, sometimes in stressful situations.Add to and maintain a positive team atmosphere and work culture.Other duties as assigned by Leadership.Qualifications and Education:High school diploma or equivalent1-2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred but not necessaryComfortable handling needles and other donation machine equipmentMust be comfortable seeing and working with blood and blood componentsExceptional customer service and genuine care for donorsPhysical Demands:Ability to sit or stand for up to three hours at a time.Ability to occasionally pull, lift, and carry up to fifty (50) pounds.Ability to bend, stoop or kneel.Requires high level of manual dexterity.Occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens, as well as occasional extreme temperatures (-40 C freezer for short periods)Wear provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in adherence to SOPs.Specific vision and hearing abilities are required to be successful within the roleAt Proesis, we don't just accept difference — we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our products, and our community.
