Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- State licensure or eligibility as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Relevant experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy, or a strong interest in school settings
- Ability to implement therapeutic activities as directed by an Occupational Therapist
- Strong communication skills to support students, teachers, and parents
- Organization and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of students in an educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students based on individualized goals and treatment plans
- Assist Occupational Therapists in assessments, documentation, and reporting on student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student participation and success
- Foster independence and skill development in students across classroom and school activities
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student outcomes
