Accounts Payable Coordinator

Accounts Payable Coordinator The Accounts Payable Coordinator performs transactional and operational AP support activities with a focus on accuracy and process adherence. This is a Hybrid role based out of Newport News, VA in accordance with the Ferguson Flex schedule. Responsibilities Process stop payments, void checks, and invoice updates Support prepayment requests and validate documentation Execute selling credits and maintain logs Handle manual checks and payment applications Research vendor payment issues and returned checks Maintain spreadsheets and tracking logs Support ACH returns and vendor banking updates Ensure compliance with documentation and approvals Coordinate with AR, Treasury, and other teams Qualifications High school diploma required; associate degree preferred 1–3 years AP or administrative experience ERP system familiarity preferred Strong attention to detail Accuracy and attention to detail Time management Process adherence Customer service orientation Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: $15.00 - $23.79 (monthly hourly ranges). Bonus or incentive plan eligible. Ferguson complies with all wage regulations. The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
