Principal IT Applications Engineer, Java/NodeJS

Salary: $102,000 - 142,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related discipline, plus 8 years of experience in software development or a related area; equivalent work experience may replace the degree requirement.
• We require at least 6 years of experience on projects involving solution development life cycles (SDLC).
• We require at least 4 years in a technical leadership capacity, with or without direct reports.
• We require at least 6 years of experience developing and/or implementing web-based applications.
• We require at least 4 years of experience working with cloud-based technologies such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• We require at least 4 years of experience using web application frameworks and related technologies such as Angular, HTML5, CSS, and GraphQL.

• We lead the delivery of multiple workstreams by assessing customer and operational needs, refining procedures and policies, securing cross-functional alignment, and turning business strategy into actionable requirements.
• We obtain and allocate resources, establish standards, track progress, remove barriers to performance, and develop contingency plans as needed.
• We address highly complex issues and help drive the completion of project tasks through influence and coordination across teams.
• We partner with product teams to shape the product vision and guide the design, development, testing, and support of end-to-end member-facing applications and systems.
• We lead the development of internet applications, software tools, cloud solutions, CMS-based solutions, and integration solutions across a range of platforms.
• We serve as a subject matter expert in researching and resolving technical issues, recommending corrective actions for critical or escalated matters, and ensuring our work meets IT security and development standards.
