IT Applications Engineer, Container Platform Lead

Salary: $102,000 - 142,000 per year Requirements:

• We require at least six years of experience working on projects that implement solutions using development life cycles such as SDLC.
• We require at least four years in a technical leadership role, with or without direct reports.
• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related field, along with at least ten years of experience in software development or a related discipline; equivalent work experience may replace the degree requirement.

• We lead multiple work streams by identifying customer and operational needs, shaping procedures and policies, securing cross-functional support, translating business strategy into actionable requirements, and removing obstacles that affect delivery.
• We foster self-leadership and team growth by encouraging feedback, mentoring colleagues, building collaborative relationships, and adapting to changing priorities and challenges.
• We provide recommendations and serve as a subject matter expert for complex and innovative technical solutions that satisfy design and functional objectives.
• We work with architects and software consultants to turn functional specifications into flexible, scalable, and maintainable solution designs.
• We provide technical guidance for developing, configuring, and modifying integrated business and enterprise application solutions across varied computing environments.
• We translate business requirements and functional specifications into program designs, code modules, stable application systems, and software solutions in partnership with business analysts and other team members.
• We strengthen collaboration between technical teams, architects, and consultants to ensure sound solution design and implementation.
• We build trusted relationships with internal customers, vendors, and senior leaders to secure alignment and stakeholder support.
• We oversee the review and implementation of technical recommendations across multiple functions.
• We ensure interfaces, methods, parameters, procedures, and functions are aligned with architectural designs and support the intended technical solutions.
• We define data management strategy within the information architecture to support the business model and effective information storage, sharing, and publishing.
• We set database technology strategy and provide expert guidance on database tools, facilities, architectures, and operation.
• We support project teams throughout the release schedule for business and enterprise software solutions.
• We advise teams on complex incident response and troubleshooting.
• We partner with IT teams and vendors to ensure code follows our architectural standards, design patterns, and technical specifications.
• We stay current on industry trends by participating in conferences and building networks with other IT experts.
• We lead consultation efforts to ensure new and existing solutions reflect industry best practices, strategies, and architectures.
• We provide expert technical advice on software engineering topics, including market trends, new programs, and applications.
• We review and validate resource estimates for complex design, coding, and testing work.
• We identify the interfaces, methods, parameters, procedures, and functions needed to support technical solutions and resolve complex requirements translation issues.
• We leverage DevOps as well as Waterfall and Agile practices to design, develop, and deliver resilient, secure, multi-channel, high-volume, cloud-based solutions.
