IT Applications Engineer, Java - Greensboro

Salary: $102,000 - 142,000 per year Requirements:

• We require at least three years of experience working on projects that implement solutions using development life cycles such as SDLC.
• We require at least one year of experience in a technical leadership capacity, with or without direct reports.
• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related discipline, plus at least six years of experience in software development or a closely related area. Equivalent work experience may be considered in place of the degree.

• We translate business requirements and functional specifications into software solutions, program designs, code modules, and stable application systems.
• We provide technical input and recommendations to ensure solutions meet design and functional needs.
• We collaborate with business analysts, architects, software consultants, IT teams, and vendors to shape flexible, scalable, maintainable designs.
• We design, develop, configure, and modify integrated business and enterprise applications across different computing environments.
• We apply DevOps, Waterfall, and Agile practices to deliver resilient, secure, cloud-based, high-volume solutions.
• We support systems incident resolution, troubleshooting, implementation, and post-implementation triage.
• We assist with component integration testing and user acceptance testing, including triage, fixes, unit testing, and documentation support.
• We write, review, and update technical specifications and related documentation.
• We develop and execute unit tests to identify errors and confirm solutions align with functional requirements.
• We help identify interfaces, methods, parameters, procedures, and functions needed to support technical solutions.
• We mentor, train, and coach other technical team members while contributing across all software development lifecycle phases.
• We support project estimation, data modeling, database analysis, and information handling practices, including accessibility, retrievability, integrity, and security.
