Description:
General certification requirements include BLS and RDMS for OB.
Vascular technology certification is preferred.
The department has three scanners/rooms.
Floating to cover other areas may be required, but it is not standard.
Common types of imaging and studies performed include all general ultrasound exams, para thoracentesis biopsies, and vascular exams.
The average number of scans or studies performed per day is between 8 to 16.
The department utilizes Cerner for EMR and PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System).
Department-specific equipment includes Phillips EPIQ.
There is a radiology supervisor or lead tech on staff.
Registered Radiology Assistants are not used in this department.
A radiologist is present in-house.
Starting IVs is not required for this position.
Weekend requirements may occur occasionally.
Holiday requirements will rotate.
Call or standby requirement is in place.
Scrub color and dress code information will be provided later.
The cancellation policy is four shifts per contract or three shifts if the contract is under 13 weeks.
