Job Title: Resource Pool Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of telemetry experience with patient ratios of 1:4-5. License: Valid state RN license required. Certifications: - BLS - ACLS - NIHSS - OCN preferred - PCCN preferred Must-Have: - Strong telemetry skills - Experience managing cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Nitro) - Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias in real time Description: This position requires a registered nurse specializing in telemetry. The nurse will float to various areas, except specific departments. Experience with patients having multiple comorbidities is essential. The nurse should be comfortable managing patients with conditions such as diabetes, COPD, cardiovascular disease, hepatic issues, oncology cases, sepsis protocol, and alcohol withdrawal protocol. Patient ratios are maintained at 1:4-5. The role involves managing cardiac drips, and experience in a teaching hospital is highly preferred. The nurse must possess strong communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Flexibility and a willingness to learn new procedures are important. The ability to work every other weekend and holiday is required. The nurse may be called off or placed on call during the assignment. Completion of mandatory modules is required prior to starting the assignment. A successful travel history is necessary for consideration. Candidates must float within their skill set as per facility needs.
