We’re bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.Senior Project ManagerEnergy Infrastructure AssetsPurpose of the RoleAs a Senior Project Manager at Worley, you will lead and manage complex engineering projects that support and enhance energy infrastructure assets, including refinery, power generation, midstream and pipeline operations. With a strong background in project management, you will be accountable for planning, executing, and optimizing projects that improve operational efficiency, safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.You will work both independently and in partnership with other project and portfolio managers, customers, and delivery teams to translate business and operational objectives into safe, practical, and commercially sound project outcomes. This role plays a key part in helping customers manage risk, modernize assets, and deliver value across the full lifecycle of the facilities.This position is in Englewood Colorado, working a 3-day hybrid schedule, and not eligible for remote work.Key ResponsibilitiesProject and Engineering LeadershipLead and manage engineering delivery on refining, power generation, midstream and pipeline projects from concept through execution and close-out, ensuring alignment within industry standards, customer requirements, and Worley governance.Work both independently and collaboratively with other project managers and/or portfolio manager to drive overall project success.Define project scopes, execution strategies, schedules, and budgets, and communicate these clearly to all stakeholders.Oversee the design, development and implementation of process improvements, debottlenecking initiatives, and infrastructure upgrades.Execute technical leadership and sound engineering judgment throughout project execution.Safety, Quality and Regulatory ComplianceDemonstrate visible safety leadership and a strong personal commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing.Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety requirements, including applicable refining industry regulations and codes.Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing mitigation and contingency plans to support safe and predictable outcomes.Operational Support and Technical ExpertiseCollaborate closely with client project, operations, maintenance, and regulatory teams to optimize asset performance.Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting, problem resolution, and operational challenges across various asset facilities.Ensure engineering solutions are practical, operable, and aligned with long-term asset performance and maintenance strategies.Commercial and Financial ManagementTrack cost, schedule and progress, using data and analysis to forecast trends and implement corrective actions when required.Support proposal development and contribute technical, execution and commercial input for new work.Manage contractor and vendor relationships, ensuring quality, performance, and adherence to project specifications.Execute strong change management, risk, forecast management, and control processes to protect project outcomes.People, Collaboration and CommunicationLead and coordinate multi-discipline teams, fostering collaboration across engineering, procurement, construction, and operations.Communicate clearly and consistently with customers and internal stakeholders regarding project status, risks, priorities, and expectations.Build trusted relationships based on transparency, technical credibility, and delivery confidence.QualificationsEducation and Technical SkillsBachelor’s degree required – Engineering experience and degree desired. Professional Engineer is preferred but not required.Typically, 15+ years of engineering experience, with 10-12 years demonstrated experience delivering engineering projects in operating refinery environments.Strong background in refining processes, equipment, and best practices.Experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, operationally sensitive environment.In-depth knowledge of refining process units, infrastructure and supporting systems.Familiarity with applicable industry regulations and standards (such as OSHA, EPA, API, ASME).Proficiency in engineering and process design tools, including AutoCAD, Aspen HYSYS, or similar software.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound technical and commercial decisions.Leadership and Interpersonal SkillsConfident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with customers, operations teams, regulators, contractors, and internal stakeholders.Collaborative working style, with the ability to influence without authority.Demonstrated attention to detail, combined with a practical, delivery-focused mindset.Ability to work independently while contributing to broader portfolio and business objectives.Additional Information:Position is in Englewood / Denver Colorado.Salary: $181,948 - $206,164 annually commensurate with experience.Benefits: Eligible for PTO, 401k, medical, vision, dental, etc.#LI-NM4Moving forward togetherWe’re committed to building a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace where everyone feels they belong, can bring themselves, and are heard.
