Position Summary


Express Employment Professionals is seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our growing Ventura County team. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth through strategic sales efforts.


The ideal candidate is a proactive hunter with a passion for networking, relationship-building, and helping local businesses solve workforce challenges. This position offers significant earning potential through a competitive base salary, commissions, and performance bonuses.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities throughout Ventura County and surrounding markets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and business leaders
• Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and industry trends
• Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM and sales tracking tools
• Present staffing and workforce solutions tailored to client needs
• Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and service agreements
• Collaborate with recruiting and operations teams to ensure exceptional client service and successful placements
• Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
• Represent Express Employment Professionals at networking events, business associations, and community functions

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development, outside sales, account management, or lead generation
• Strong relationship-building and client management skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
• Ability to identify opportunities and develop strategic sales plans
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in staffing, recruiting, workforce solutions, or a related industry is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, but not required

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 annually
