Licensed Vocational Nurse

The Baldwin Park Unified School District is recruiting for a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Under general supervision, the incumbent will assist the school nurse, provide specialized health services for students, and communicate with district personnel on health-related matters. The employee will also assist with the medical screening of students, disseminate health information, and provide emergency medical care. Selection Process

The selection process tentatively consists of the district's application screening and interview process.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school. Skills: Ability to complete data input and general knowledge of appropriate software (i.e., Student Information System and Microsoft Office). Licenses and/or Certificates: Possession of a valid California Driver's License. Possession of an active and valid Licensed Vocational Nurse Certificate. Possession of a current CPR/First Aid Certification issued by an authorized agency.

Preference

Spanish speaking desirable but not necessary. Basic Life Support certification (BLS).

Special Requirements
