Description

Job Purpose: The Warehouse Clerk at Hugo's Family Marketplace is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse. This role involves receiving, inspecting, and stocking inventory, picking and packing orders, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. The Warehouse Clerk plays a crucial role in supporting the logistics and supply chain processes by adhering to standard operating procedures and company policies to ensure compliance and consistency in warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities: Receive and inspect incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met. Stock and organize inventory in designated areas to maintain an orderly warehouse. Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently for shipment to customers. Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and effectively. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to verify stock levels and report discrepancies. Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals and maintain a positive work environment. Follow standard operating procedures and company policies to ensure compliance and consistency in warehouse operations.

Qualifications

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Education: Certification or willingness to obtain certification for operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack). Required Experience: Experience in receiving, inspecting, and ensuring accuracy and quality standards in warehouse operations. Proficiency in stocking and organizing inventory efficiently. Experience in picking and packing orders with attention to detail. Familiarity with operating warehouse equipment safely and effectively. Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse. Experience in conducting inventory counts and audits. Demonstrated ability to follow standard operating procedures and company policies to ensure compliance and consistency in warehouse operations. Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and perform physical tasks repeatedly throughout the shift. Basic math skills and attention to detail for accurately counting and recording inventory. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
