AP specialist

Randstad is currently seeking a detail-oriented, proactive AP Specialist for a direct-hire opportunity. In this unique role, you will manage full-cycle accounts payable while gaining hands-on, foundational experience in treasury operations, cash management, and banking controls. You will also have the exciting opportunity to help play a key role in our upcoming financial software implementation.  

• Location: Summerlin area – Onsite initially, transitioning to a Hybrid model
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Process transactions and timely invoice payments while strictly adhering to internal accounting controls and fraud-prevention procedures (such as verifying vendor bank details and routing numbers).
• Act as the primary point of contact for vendor payment inquiries and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Manage the review, verification, and completion of both external and internal wire transfers as requested by the Controller. You will gain direct exposure to banking portals and cash movement controls by assisting with internal transfers (cash positioning).
• Assist in managing the corporate credit card program. This includes auditing transaction details, matching receipts to statement activity, and ensuring compliance with corporate expense policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 4+ years of progressive experience managing the end-to-end accounts payable lifecycle, including high-volume invoice processing, three-way matching (PO, receiving report, and invoice), approval routing, and weekly payment runs.
• A solid grasp of core accounting concepts such as general ledger (GL) coding, accruals, and month-end reconciliations combined with a strict commitment to enforcing internal controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP platforms, with a proven ability to quickly adapt to new AP automation tools and upcoming financial software implementations.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical capabilities, and the utmost professionalism required to maintain absolute discretion when handling sensitive financial data and bank wire transfers.
