## Endoscopy Registered Nurse/TechnicianApplyremote type: On-Sitelocations: Sentara RMH Medical Centertime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR-100837**City/State**Harrisonburg, VA**Work Shift**First (Days)**Overview:**Sentara RMH Medical Center is now hiring a full-time **Registered Nurse** for the endoscopy unit. **The primary function of the position will be as an Endoscopy Technician but operating as a nurse to help with other duties.** This position responsible for the preparation of endoscopy and pain management patients for their procedure, preparing patients for discharge or transfer following their procedure, and completing the pre-anesthesia screening process prior to their procedure.Monday-Friday, 8-hr shifts vary between 0600-1630.Rotating weekend/nights call schedule.**Education**Associates or Bachelor's Degree - Nursing (Required)**Certification/Licensure**Registered Nurse (Required)**Experience**Previous endoscopy experience (preferred)**Duties/Responsibilities**The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.
