Commercial Craftsman – Shaffer Services - General Commercial Construction

Shaffer Services located in Sanford, Florida, about 25 miles north of Orlando. The Company is seeking a full-time Commercial Craftsman to perform a wide range of tasks varying in complexity from extremely easy to difficult, on small to medium-size commercial construction projects.

Minimum Qualifications :

- Must have 6-10 years’ experience in commercial construction . Performs a variety of tasks such as general building installations and repairs, electrical repairs, mechanical equipment, assembly of temporary structures, plumbing, painting, preparation of work area, build and service structures and frameworks utilizing wood, metal, and other materials, install cabinets, shelves, hang/finish drywall, operating small tools, loading, and unloading, organizing materials, and cleaning of job site.

-Must have the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must have basic hand tools.

-Must have a valid driver’s license and be insured to operate a company vehicle.

- Must be fluent to speak and write in English.

-Perform job duties as assigned by management.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the applicant to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, it requires regularly to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl, and use eye to hand coordination. The applicant must be able to regular lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

-Weekly Overtime Opportunities

-Travel Flexibility – Must be able to work in and out of Florida. Traveling up to 75%.

Salary : $24.00 to $32.00 per hour.
