Help Desk TechnicianRemote / Greenport, NY Salary: $47,000+–$58,000 annually, based on experienceThe OpportunityWe're looking for a motivated, customer-focused Help Desk Technician to support an exciting new client partnership in the Greenport, NY area.This is a primarily work-from-home position with onsite support required as needed. Because the amount of onsite support is still being determined as we launch this new partnership, candidates must live within approximately one hour of Greenport, NY and be comfortable traveling to the client location when requested.This is more than a traditional help desk role. You'll have an opportunity to take ownership of a new client relationship, build trust with end users, solve problems, and help establish what great IT support looks like from day one.For someone who wants to come in, make an impact, and grow their IT career, this is a great opportunity. Strong performance will be noticed, and there is real potential to take on additional responsibility and advance within the organization.Our corporate headquarters are located in Albany, NY, this position will primarily work remotely while supporting the Greenport-area client.What You'll DoServe as a trusted IT resource for the client, providing responsive and professional technical supportWork closely with the onsite client contact to prioritize issues and keep technology running smoothlyTroubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and user-access issuesSupport laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, peripherals, and related equipmentManage incoming help desk calls and support tickets from initial request through resolutionPerform routine and proactive maintenance, software updates, and minor system upgradesSupport Microsoft 365 applications and other business softwareAssist with basic networking equipment, connectivity, and troubleshootingProvide clear, patient guidance and basic technology training to end usersAccurately document issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions within the service management systemIdentify recurring issues and proactively recommend improvementsCollaborate with other technical team members and escalate more complex issues when appropriateLearn new technologies, tools, and environments as client needs evolveWhat We're Looking ForYou don't need to know everything on day one.
