Respiratory Therapist - NICU Experience Required

Spotsylvania, VA

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3-12 hour shifts per week, including every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of general RT experience and NICU skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in advanced respiratory techniques and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and assessments for NICU patients.
• Utilize equipment such as CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP, and Hamilton C1 for ventilation.
• Document patient care activities using the Meditech documentation system.
• Collaborate effectively within the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NICU experience is mandatory.
• Must possess BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (preferably at hiring, can obtain after hire).
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification is required.
• Advanced skills in CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP, and Hamilton C1.
