JOB SUMMARY Royal Park Health and Rehabilitation is accepting applications for a Maintenance Assistant to assist with general maintenance responsibilitiesthroughout the facility. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Read blueprints and manuals. Maintain/repair motor controls, programmable controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Operate hand and power tools safely. Repair and/or replace electrical fixtures, motors, stoves, dryers, washers, medical equipment. Check and replace faulty circuits or breakers, and low voltage electrical equipment Repair plaster and drywall. Maintain plumbing system and fixtures KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Required: General experience in equipment maintenance; demonstrated skills in using proper basic hand tools and materials Required: Able to assess physical plant problems and respond to physical plant problems. Preferred: Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing, copper, galvanized, and plastic pipe Preferred: Basic knowledge of HVAC Preferred: Working knowledge of building codes, fire regulations, and emergency plant operations. EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND EXPERIENCE Required: Valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
