Cook/Back of House Position at Pintworks Pub

Pintworks Pub at Touchstone Brewing, Sacramento, CA is seeking a dedicated Cook/Back of House (BOH) team member to join our dynamic kitchen staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing delicious food for our customers and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. You will report directly to the Pub Manager and have the opportunity to collaborate with the Front of House (FOH) team when necessary.

Location: Pintworks Pub at Touchstone Brewing, Sacramento, CA

Position Type: Per Diem (Flexible Hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage areas.
• Assist in receiving and storing food supplies, products, and equipment.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, fryers, and dishwashers.
• Monitor food stock and place orders as needed.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation at all times.
• Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
• Assist FOH staff as needed.
• Follow directions and tasks as assigned by the Pub Manager.
• Perform other tasks as needed

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen setting.
• Successful completion of a background check may be required.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
• Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours).
• Occasional exposure to varying temperatures.
• Flexibility to bend, kneel, sit, climb, and walk as needed.
• Adaptability to varying noise levels, with ear protection available if necessary.

Hours

• This is a per diem position with no guaranteed hours.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays; A flexible schedule is required.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting Pay is $21.00/hour. Cook/Back of House individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to; facility location and type, membership volume, experience, and job/position tenure.
