We value the well-being of our people and their families.Position - Staff Accountant Position Summary - We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to manage our daily financial operations. In this role, you will oversee both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions while assisting the broader finance team with month-end close and general ledger maintenance.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Accounting & Month-End Close:Prepare and post standard journal entries (e.g., accruals, amortizations, reclasses).Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts, resolving any discrepancies.Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures.Review shipment listings and resolve Shipped not Billed related items.Ensure all accounting transactions comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting. Support the annual review process by pulling requested reports and documentation.Assist with special projects, ad hoc initiatives, and cross-functional tasks that support team and company objectives.Accounts Payable (AP):Review, verify, and process high volumes of vendor invoices.Match purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices to ensure accuracy before payment.Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and resolve payment inquiries.Accounts Receivable (AR): Processing client invoices during month end or as need ariseRecord and apply incoming customer payments and cash receipts.Qualifications and RequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting; CPA or CMA a plus3-4 years of hands-on experience in AR, AP, or general accounting; Manufacturing/supply chain environment a plusWorking knowledge of GAAP and financial reportingProficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically advanced Excel skills like pivot tables and LOOKUPs)Strong analytical capabilities, excellent organizational skills, and high attention to detailPrior experience with sales tax and/or Avalara preferredOur goal is to embrace the unique abilities and passions of each individual.
