Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time contract opportunity is available immediately through the end of the school year, offering a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week.

You’ll be working with a diverse K-12 caseload, collaborating closely with two virtual Occupational Therapists to support student success. This is a great chance to gain valuable school-based experience, build relationships with students and staff, and contribute your skills in a supportive educational environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Virginia licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience in school settings or with pediatric populations is highly valued
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with virtual and onsite team members
• Ability to adapt and respond quickly to the needs of students across various grade levels

What You’ll Do:

• Implement therapy plans developed by OTs and document student progress
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students from kindergarten through 12th grade
• Assist with assessments, goal tracking, and reporting for IEP meetings
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to foster student independence and participation
• Utilize virtual tools to coordinate care with remote OTs
