Tesla is looking for a highly creative and motivated Social & Content Specialist to join the ANZ Marketing team. This role owns the end-to-end content creation, social media management, audience growth strategy, and earned media amplification across Tesla's owned social channels (Instagram and X) in Australia and New Zealand. The successful candidate will produce best-in-class photography, video, and written content, while driving earned media coverage and brand advocacy – growing follower base, engagement, and brand affinity while upholding Tesla's distinctive brand standards. What You'll Do
Content Creation
Capture high-quality photography and videography of Tesla vehicles, products, events, and experiences –producing visually compelling assets optimised for social media platforms.Edit and produce engaging short-form and long-form video content (Reels, Stories, behind-the-scenes, product features, event recaps) using professional editing tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or equivalent).Retouch and edit photography using Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, or equivalent tools to maintain a premium, on-brand visual standard across all outputs.Write brand-aligned copy for social media posts, captions, stories, and community responses – adapting tone and style to suit each platform and audience segment. Manage Tesla ANZ's Instagram and X accounts end-to-end: content planning, scheduling, publishing, community management, and audience engagement.Develop and execute a comprehensive content plan and editorial calendar designed to grow Tesla's follower base, increase engagement rates, and drive measurable brand awareness across ANZ.Actively monitor channels, respond to comments and direct messages, and foster meaningful community interactions that build brand loyalty and advocacy.Identify and leverage trending topics, cultural moments, and platform features to maximise reach and relevance. Analytics & Reporting
Track, analyse, and report on social media and earned media performance metrics (follower growth, engagement rate, reach, impressions, video views, sentiment, earned media value) using platform-native analytics and third-party tools.Produce weekly insights and monthly performance reports with clear, data-driven optimisation recommendations.Measure content and earned media performance against defined KPIs and use insights to refine the content plan, creative approach, influencer strategy, and posting cadence. Brand & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as brand custodian for social channels: ensure all content, tone of voice, and visual assets align with Tesla brand guidelines.Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Service, Charging, Energy, Design, Legal, and Global Marketing to source content opportunities and align social and earned media programs with quarterly business objectives.Support ad-hoc content requests from regional stores, events, and channel partners.Continuously feed social and earned media insights and audience intelligence into the ANZ annual marketing plan. 3–5 years of hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, and earned media/digital PR within automotive, technology, lifestyle, e-commerce, or high-growth DTC environments – a strong portfolio demonstrating photography, video editing, and copywriting across social platforms required.Demonstrated expertise managing brand Instagram and X (Twitter) accounts with a proven track record of audience growth and engagement improvement.Experience developing and managing influencer marketing programs and digital PR campaigns, with a demonstrable understanding of earned media measurement and ROI.Proficiency in photography and video production, including professional editing tools: Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro (video), Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop (photography), and Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (graphic assets).Exceptional copywriting skills with the ability to craft platform-native content that drives engagement and action.Strong working knowledge of social media analytics and social listening tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Brandwatch, Meltwater, or equivalent) and the ability to translate data into content and earned media strategy decisions.Experience building and executing content calendars and audience growth strategies.Working knowledge of CRM systems, Google Analytics, and Excel; understanding of how social and earned media activity connects to broader marketing and commercial performance.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to all levels of management.Passion for using data, cultural insights, and consumer behaviour to drive business outcomes; high sense of urgency and creative thinking that delivers results.Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, media, design, or related field – or equivalent proven ability to produce high-impact social, content, and earned media programs.Ability to travel within ANZ for events, shoots, and store support. ,Tesla , Tesla
