Supervisory Transportation Assistant

Job Title

Independently plan, direct, and manage the Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) Beneficiary Travel Program.

Major duties and responsibilities include:

• Manage program operations to identify and define requirements for the use of automated systems.
• Provide training for Beneficiary Travel staff on a variety of transportation management and patient related software.
• Maintain communication with appropriate local, state, and federal agencies, and private interests.
• Provide direct supervision to 12 Beneficiary Travel employees.
• Establish guidelines and performance expectations for staff.
• Survey and evaluate transportation program operations to access compliance with applicable regulations.
• Must be familiar with timekeeping procedures and pay regulations for Title 5 employees.
• Initiate nondiscrimination and affirmative action for the area under supervision.
• Provide direct on-the-job training for employees.
• Exercise supervisory authorities and responsibilities involving work assignment and review.
• Establish and maintain knowledge of various groups and organizations.
• Consistently communicate and treat customers in a courteous, tactful, and respectful manner.
• Establish criteria to measure and/or predict the attainment of program or organizational goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
