Come talk to us about joining the Centerstone team!**JOB DESCRIPTION:****SUMMARY OF POSITION**Centerstone is seeking therapist with experience treating individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. This is an opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team. No weekend or on call work required. **LOCATION & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS*** The role is primarily based within the **Tennessee Department of Health** offices located in **Centerville (Hickman County), Lynchburg (Moore County), and Linden (Perry County)** and requires regular travel throughout the assigned service area.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*** Develop therapeutic rapport with clients – Meet with clients as scheduled to aid in development of therapeutic relationship.* Diagnostic Assessment – Formulate a provisional diagnostic assessment based on information presented, identify need for risk assessment (to include substance use assessments).* Concurrent Documentation – Completes documentation within 24 hours.* Provide assessment services, individual (and possibly family) therapy to those identified with substance use issues.* Treatment Planning – Developing, writing, implementing, evaluating and revising overall treatment goals/objectives and plans per ongoing assessment of needs and input from the individual based on their identified strengths.* Therapeutic Interventions – Use of empirically based modalities to engage and manage their mental health or substance abuse diagnosis.* Progress notes completed within current agency guidelines.* Responds to supervisory request for urgent care situations and coverage for vacant caseloads. This includes telephones and face to face intervention.* Keeps administrative supervisor informed of all potential issues that could impact the program or the organization.**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES*** Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.* Proficient in Microsoft Office products* Coordination, ability to organize, and plan are critical for this role* Responds to needs of consumers in a timely and professional manner.* Demonstrates good clinical judgment in decision making regarding consumers.**QUALIFICATIONS** **Education Requirements*** A Master’s degree is required in one of the following fields: Clinical Psychology, Mental Health (MH) Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and/or a specialization in MH Counseling* License-eligible in respective discipline preferred.**OR*** Applicants with a Master’s degree in a related field (outside of the disciplines listed above) must meet the following criteria: + Completion of at least **24 graduate-level semester hours** in psychology, social work, counseling, or other behavioral health-related coursework. + Relevant coursework and work experience in the following areas: - Clinical treatment and treatment planning - Appraisal and assessment of mental disorders - Psychopathology - Use of the DSM for diagnostic purposes within a clinical internship or practicum in a behavioral health setting**Experience Requirements**Clinical experience is required.
