Purchasing Coordinator

A request, a quote, an approved order, a delivery: each step needs someone to keep the information accurate. We’re hiring a Purchasing Coordinator for our Montgomery team to support that process and help colleagues know where their orders stand.

This is a full-time, on-site role suited to someone building a career in purchasing, procurement, or business operations. Training is provided.

Follow an order from request to receipt

1. Check the request. Confirm quantities, specifications, and required dates with the person placing it.
2. Gather the details. Request supplier quotes, maintain price information, and prepare purchase orders for approval.
3. Track progress. Monitor order acknowledgments and delivery dates, then update colleagues when something changes.
4. Close the loop. Match delivery paperwork to the order and help resolve missing items or invoice differences with the appropriate team.

You’ll maintain purchasing records and supplier contact information throughout the process. The Purchasing Coordinator works with operations, finance, and vendors; purchase approvals remain with the people authorized to make them.

We’d like to meet someone who is comfortable with spreadsheets, communicates professionally, and checks details before sending them on. Experience in an office, warehouse, retail stockroom, or scheduling role can provide a useful foundation. A purchasing background is welcome but not required.
