Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Madison, WI

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Monday – Friday with weekend rotation and holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Neuro Medical Surgical / Telemetry inpatient setting during night shift hours
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, including identification of lethal and critical cardiac rhythms
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing and patient census requirements
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Neuro Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing required within the last 3 years
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (locals not accepted)
• Must pass a Telemetry competency exam prior to start (adult and pediatric components; passing score of 80% or higher with strict criteria for lethal rhythm identification)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Magnet-designated facility or academic medical center environment
• Familiarity with cardiac rhythm interpretation and advanced telemetry monitoring
