Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant Opportunity

Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Advanced Practice Providers provide high-quality, patient-centered care across inpatient and outpatient settings in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams. This role supports the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients within a specialty or multispecialty practice. These roles function with a high degree of clinical autonomy while adhering to evidence-based practice standards, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, including history, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Developing, implementing, and managing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and care teams.
• Providing care for patients in clinic, hospital, ICU, specialty units, or community-based settings as assigned.
• Performing and/or assisting with procedures relevant to the specialty, with training and supervision provided as needed.
• Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
• Monitoring patient progress, response to treatment, and clinical outcomes; adjusting care plans accordingly.
• Documenting all aspects of patient care accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Coordinating care transitions, including discharge planning, follow-up care, and referrals to specialists or community resources.
• Communicating effectively with patients, families, physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participating in on-call coverage, rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, or nights as required by the service line.
• Serving as a clinical resource, educator, and role model for professional practice and quality care delivery.

Specialty-specific functions may include:

• Outpatient specialty clinics (e.g., cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, sports medicine).
• Inpatient rounding and hospital-based care, including ICU or specialty units.
• Oversight and performance of diagnostic testing or procedures relevant to the specialty.
• Participation in critical care management, neonatal or pediatric care, transitional care, or chronic disease management programs.
• Home visits, case management, and care coordination for designated patient populations.

Schedule and work environment:

• Full-time position with flexible scheduling options depending on department needs.
• May include weekday, weekend, holiday, evening, night, or extended shifts.
• Practice settings may include clinic, hospital, ICU, specialty units, or community-based locations.

Education and qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the practicing state.
• National board certification appropriate to role and specialty.
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS, or other certifications as required by specialty.
• Prior specialty experience preferred but not always required; training and mentorship may be provided.
