JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager for an opportunity in Athens, AL . The Project Manager will be responsible for leading technical changes, coordinating cross-functional teams, supporting program launches, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within established quality standards, and in alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities of a Project Manager include:

• Lead the development and implementation of ECOTECH and other technical changes.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and meet expected quality standards.
• Ensure technical changes are properly integrated across departments and support successful implementation.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including product requirements, budgets, manpower forecasts, technical objectives, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Create and maintain accurate product and part records using appropriate systems and processes.
• Review and validate manufacturing equipment and fixture specifications when required.
• Provide manufacturing support for assigned product lines.
• Lead and coordinate cost-reduction initiatives.
• Plan and assign appropriate resources based on project requirements and timelines.
• Prepare and provide regular project status and progress reports.
• Participate in capacity analysis activities.
• Contribute to margin management efforts and identify opportunities to support product profitability.

Program Launch Responsibilities:

• Support a smooth Start of Production (SOP) process by ensuring programs are properly validated approximately six months prior to launch.
• Identify, escalate, and coordinate the resolution of issues that could impact project timing or launch readiness.
• Collaborate with Customer Program Managers and serve as a key voice representing customer requirements.
• Participate in weekly project reviews and communicate any issues or areas that are not meeting established targets.
• Complete required digital forms and project documentation.

Technical Change Program Management Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Purchasing and Supply Chain teams to develop and implement technical change roadmaps.
• Complete risk analyses and develop qualification plans based on identified risks and project requirements.
• Determine appropriate implementation timing for technical changes.
• Manage communication and coordination with Customer Program Managers to ensure changes are successfully implemented.
• Maintain regular communication with Program Managers throughout the change process.
• Support Program Managers during customer presentations.
• Work closely with Supply Chain and R2 teams to successfully implement changes on the production floor.

Job Requirements of a Project Manager:

REQUIRED Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of related professional experience.
• Experience in project management, program management, engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple departments.
• Experience managing technical changes, product launches, or manufacturing projects.
• Experience in high-volume electronics manufacturing processes is preferred.

REQUIRED Knowledge and Technical Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9000 and IATF 16949 standards.
• Knowledge of APQP, SPC, and PPAP processes.
• Knowledge of quality tools and problem-solving methodologies, including Global 8D, SPC, 5 Why, and QRQC.
• Strong knowledge of production ERP systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and cost management.
• Ability to analyze project risks and develop appropriate action plans.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to prepare project reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
